I've joined Socktopia! Why? Probably because I'm a sockaholic...and I thought it would be fun. This is a year long KAL, and they have over 100 people joined up now. There are different themes to choose from each month (three for January), and I've seen at least one pair so far of completed socks for that. I forget what blog they were on (sorry about that), but she did an awesome job!Not much in the knitting news category today. Been plugging away at the socks I'm making with the Opal yarn. I must say that I am enjoying the pattern, and the colours look great together. I can't wait til these are done! I am onto the foot portion of the first sock, and hopefully it won't be long until it's finished and I can start onto the second one.
I've also started a child's pair of mittens for the Knittin' Mittens KAL. I'm using the leftover yarn from my Kirstin Bag. I'm only up to the point of the thumb, but so far I think it is looking good!
Will try to post some pics soon on the sock, and probably the mittens (which shouldn't take long to complete).

Oh socktopia looks fun, but I don't think I can add another sock KAL (I just joined the 2007 STR club too)- I'm in way over my head!But it DOES look fun....
