The knitting is nil at the moment. I haven't really had a lot of time or energy since moving to where I'll be living for the next year (a place called Yesan). I'm still waiting for my chair to be delivered, so then hopefully I'll have a comfy place to sit and knit.
We're supposed to be going to Seoul on the weekend, and I've asked the girls if we can find a knitting/yarn store and they said no problem. From my understanding, the yarn is expensive because it's imported from the States (I think). However, I'll still be looking and buying. Someone told me the cheapest thing to do is order it online, even with shipping charges it might not be as much. Well, I'll still have a look, and will probably buy some (and some needles).
I've also joined Robyn's stitch marker exchange (signups are closed now), so I'll be looking for some things to make the stitch markers with. I didn't want to chance bringing my stuff on the plane and have them end up throwing it out because it was considered dangerous goods (don't know if it was or not, but just didn't want to chance it). I did bring some glass beads with me though.
Well, just wanted to make a brief update on here so you would all know I'm still around. I hope to get to some knitting soon...I hear it calling me, but just haven't had the chance to sit down and pick it up yet.
Happy knitting!

Great to hear from you! I hope you find some yarn and supplies soon! :0)
I hope you get the perfect chair and find some great yarn for a reasonable price. You're in my prayers always.
Good to hear from you!
I hope you find some yarn. I've ordered lots of yarn from abroad and the shipping costs are usually reasonable. However, remember the customs! There probably is a limit for how much you can order from abroad without having to pay for the customs. The limit here is 40 euros (USD55) if you are ordering from outside the European Union, if you go over that, you'll have to pay a fee for the customs and that is when it gets expensive!
Hope you're having a great time and you get to hear the click of needle against needle again soon!
I haven't been to visit you in ages and now I am going to add you to bloglines now that I know how to use it. I kind of fell out of life for awhile...but am back. I am going to read back through your posts because I kind of remember reading about you going to Korea. Nice to find you again!

Did you make it to Seoul? I use to go there shopping when I was living in Japan! I wasn't a knitter then, so don't remember yarn stores.. but I'm sure they are there. I hope you'll be able to get back to knitting soon! And try those Monkey socks.. they are very fun to knit!
